Renovate Your Home for Warmth and Comfort
Already have a cold tile floor that needs warming up? The solution might be simpler than you think.
No doubt you’ve heard of all these beautifully heated floors but you don’t have one. Perhaps your home was built when these systems weren’t available or your builder didn’t offer you that option.
Now you have a floor finish – ceramic, marble etc… that you really like but you don’t want to rip out and go through the expense of a messy renovation that will cost you money and inconvenience.
Most people just put up with their cold floors. Well, there is a simple solution.
Floor Joist Electric Radiant Heating System installed BELOW your floor
You can install panels in the joist spaces in the room directly below the tile floor. You can take the chill off the floor without a messy renovation. It’s cost effective – a few panels and some simple electrical work.
You can only install the panels in the underside of the floor where there are no permanent objects above it. For instance, in kitchens, there are cabinets attached to the floor. You would be wasting money to heat that area.
The same goes for bathrooms where cabinets and plumbing fixtures take up much of the floor space. Our panels come in different lengths, so fitting them in the correct areas is a snap.
Warming, not Heating
Installing our Floor Joist System panels may not provide all the heat required for the room.
A room is measured from wall to wall and floor to ceiling. You need to heat that whole 3-dimensional space.
In this case, we’re installing panels only in the sections with exposed tile above. That may not be enough to heat the whole room. It will make a difference – especially to your feet.
Use our Comfort Controller. It has a remote sensor so you can put the Thermostat anywhere you like, even hide it if you want.
Insulate under the panels. It’s much more energy efficient to do so and you direct the heat up to the cold floor above.
How do you know what you need?
It’s easy. Count how many joist spaces you have under the cold tile area and how long the space is. Yes, you really do need to fill them all.
If you skip an area, you’ll have a cold spot and you WILL know it. The panels come in lengths from 3 feet to 7 feet long.
